The seeds of the Senna plant are small, hard, and flattened. They lack the high concentration of sennosides found in the pericarp (pod) and leaves, hence their different application and milder nature.
Unlike the leaves and pods, Senna seeds do not possess strong laxative properties. In traditional medicine, they are sometimes used for their purported benefits on skin health and for their cooling properties. However, their primary medicinal use is less pronounced compared to other parts of the plant.
For Traditional Formulations: The seed powder is typically used as a minor ingredient in complex herbal mixtures rather than as a standalone remedy.
Our Senna seeds are collected from mature pods grown by our network of trusted cultivators.
Purity & Processing: The seeds are separated from the pods, cleaned, and dried, offered whole or ground into a powder for various traditional formulations.
