It is used for the short-term relief of acute constipation. It has a heating potency and works by irritating the lining of the bowels, causing muscle contractions that lead to a bowel movement. It primarily acts on the Pitta and Kapha doshas.
● For Constipation Relief (Short-Term): Steep half to one teaspoon of the powder in a cup of hot water for 10 minutes. Strain and drink before bedtime. Effects are typically felt within 6-12 hours. Do not use for more than one week.
