Overview

Indian Sarsaparilla is a slender, twining vine found throughout India. Its true power lies in its aromatic roots, which have been used for centuries as a cooling, purifying tonic. The root’s pleasant fragrance made it a key ingredient in traditional refreshing sharbats (syrups). Today, it is recognized for its saponin and tannin content, which contributes to its potent anti-inflammatory and detoxifying effects.

Anantmool, or Sariva, is one of Ayurveda’s most revered herbs for blood purification (Rakta Shodhana) and skin health. It is tridoshic, meaning it balances Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, making it universally beneficial. It is traditionally used to calm all manner of skin inflammations, including acne, eczema, and psoriasis. As a potent diuretic, it supports kidney and urinary tract health by flushing out toxins.

For a Purifying Wellness Tea: Stir one-quarter to one-half teaspoon of Anantmool powder into a cup of hot water. Let it steep for 5 minutes, strain, and drink once daily for internal detoxification.
For a Calming Skin Paste: Combine with a small amount of water or SUPHERB® Aloe Vera powder to create a paste for soothing inflamed or irritated skin.
